How was YNARS created?

YNARS was created on July 11th, 2008 in the Montgomery County, Maryland Community by Monique Diaz, parents and families members caring for adults and seniors with medical illness and mild mental illnesses and children with disabilities and challenging behaviors and Community Care Contractors.

We all had one common gold in mind. We was seeking a way to develop a network hub for families to obtain resources, referrals, products, youth services, adult services, senior services, and community information.

Ways YNARS makes connections for families in the community:

YNARS actively networks with Professional Community Care Contractors in the community seeking to provide care services in the form of respite care as a self-contractor.

YNARS recruits professional CNAs, GNAs, and Registered Nurses with MD, VA, and D.C. certifications/licenses who meet the requirements for hiring by the IRS - 1099 Independent Contractor & W-9 Form

Community Care Contractors supplement their income by providing in-home non-medical and medical care services for private duty and/or respite care in their spare time in the DMV community to individuals of all ages with developmental disabilities, functional disabilities, challenging behaviors, mild mental illness, medical illnesses, and frail seniors.
